Planting Seeds of Kindness

“Was that kind?!” I feel like I say that to my kids all day. Or perhaps unkindly yell it for the fifth time? 😉I know I’m not alone. . So I’ll keep reading books showing kindness. Talk. Pray. And yell some more, I’m sure. Because something has to eventually take right? . This sweet book about planting seeds of kindness instead of selfishness should have been a magic ticket. We love Kadir Nelson. It’s a short story, has beautiful paintings, and tells important message for even the youngest kids. I guess we just need to keep reading it again and again. . If you never dove (dived?) into Kadir Nelson’s amazing picture books, check out the link in my profile. I have a blog post up about doing picture study with this author and illustrator. If you’ve read any black history biographies, you’ve probably found him and just never linked his books together. Never too old for beautiful books. . What next kindness book do I need to find? And do you have a magic solution other than shipping my kids to your house? 😊 . . . . @reclaimingwonders 🤓
