Reclaiming Wonders
A young child, wearing a green t-shirt and blue shorts, stands alone in a grassy field on a foggy morning. The child is facing away from the camera, gazing out towards a row of bare, leafless trees partially obscured by the thick mist. The scene conveys a sense of tranquility, solitude, and mystery, with the fog adding an ethereal and dreamlike quality to the image.

Permission to Rest and Recharge

Give yourself permission. Stay. Rest. Just be. . Just because the world tells you to be busy and fill your days and get up early and go go go… You don’t have to be like them. And the world will keep turning. I promise 😉 . Mom without morning commitments or the day off or homeschool or just your daily life… I give you permission to sleep in, read a book, dawdle… . It’s so hard to break the mentality. I still struggle with “guilt” when I choose to sit and read instead of rushing around my house tidying the mess that bothers no one but me. Or stay in bed until 8 even though no one cares. . Surely I must tell no one because I’m the only slacker mom? I’ve talked to other moms - you aren’t the only one. We just seem to feel it’s our dirty little secret that we don’t jump out of bed at 6:30. . The kids will survive - they might even thrive as they learn to deal on their own with squabbles or breakfast or self-entertainment. You’ll be more rested. You need it. They do too. Stay a little while longer. ❤️
