The top left section features a young girl, likely a toddler, in a pink and white gingham dress, crouching down and holding a large caterpillar or insect larva. The top right section shows a young boy with glasses, wearing a blue shirt, examining something in his hands while standing near a wooden fence or railing in what appears to be a garden or outdoor setting. The bottom left section depicts vibrant green ferns or fronds with orange and white objects, possibly butterflies or moths, resting on the foliage. The bottom right section displays an enclosure filled with numerous chrysalises or cocoons, likely part of an exhibition or educational display, hanging vertically from a mesh or wire structure.

Nature Center's Insect Exhibition

River Bend Nature Center seems to be Wichita's best kept secret. Chrysalis on display of different types that dance differently per type when sprayed diwn w water. Who knew? And the docent lets you hold on that's molting without much more time left. Seems they start to shed their scales. Make the most of what's left of their short life... Did I mention 5$ for the whole thing per kid? This would be 20$ in Houston!
