Lichtenstein and Monet Meets Botanical Garden

Lichtenstein and Monet invaded the Marie Selby botanical garden, and so I had to add it to the itinerary. I learned more about both artists - you would think after several years with Lichtenstein for CC I would have heard that he took Monet paintings and made them his own. Just look them up. Gotta see it to understand. . . There were about five of the paintings to see - lily pads and haystacks. So different than all his giant pop art cartoon type huge paintings we’ve seen at other museums. . . The kids’ play area in the giant banyan trees could have kept them occupied for a long time. We are loving all the giant fig and banyan trees everywhere! . . With reciprocity, it’s usually free, but we had to pay $5 per person for the special artist exhibit. Still calling it another deal! I never would have thought that we would be enjoying gardens as much as we do since we’ve had our Atlanta membership.
