Reclaiming Wonders
The image captures a serene and tranquil scene at a park or natural setting. Two young children, a blonde girl in a red shirt and a younger child in a gray shirt, are standing on the shore of a body of water, possibly a lake or pond. They are observing a group of ducks swimming in the water, with one duck closer to the shore. Behind them, a large tree with lush green foliage arches over, providing shade and framing the scene beautifully. The water appears calm and reflective, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The children's postures suggest curiosity and wonder as they watch the ducks, perhaps learning about nature and the animal inhabitants of this park.

Kids Observing Ducks at the Park

Feeding the ducks on our Friday adventure to Hermann Park. I love how the kids have changed their animal observation since we've been doing our nature walks. They know they only have a brief amount of time to see the animals so they are spouting out details as quickly as they can. And loving it. Now after this, Meg asked when we were going to go on our nature walk. Seemed the squirrels, blue jays and birds, and turtles didn't count... We need more nature! Good problem to have.
