Kids Need Awesome Role Models in Nature
Kids need grown ups.
And not just their family.
Kids need to learn how to interact with them, trust them, and learn from them.
Not to mention, kids need to see awesome adults who love what they do so they too look forward to being an awesome adult.
At nature group this week, we were blessed with a ranger led guide with Ranger Robbie. Not only did he tell us all the science and history of Arabia Mountain, he truly let the kids guide the hike up the rock.
🥾He sat back and watched the kids checking out the tadpoles in the water.
🥾He patiently answered their questions - even when they were unintelligible four year old mumbles. 😁
🥾He saw the real learning and adventure taking place without grown-up interference.
🥾And he listened to all the homeschool mom nerd questions because we ourselves wanted to know.
Thank you, Ranger Robbie. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It was a spectacular day.
And thank you to my Nature Group for encouraging us to get outside and explore.❤️
👉👉If you have questions about starting a nature group, I’d love to tell you about ours!
