Kid Discovers Quartz Crystals in Arkansas Mine
Just a kid. With his bucket of quartz he dug out of a mine in Arkansas. We shall see how awesome they are when we wash them.

They enjoyed the bumpy, close quartered-but-masked mile long drive in the back of a truck as much as the two hour dig at the mine I think. Who knew? About halfway through the allotted time, I declared them whiners not miners as 3/4 of them were eating a snack or climbing dirt piles or throwing rocks in puddles. Then again, I should be glad because I’d be hauling even more rocks cross county otherwise ;)

Fun times! Go early. Aim for overcast skies with a drizzle. And prepare to get nasty. Here’s to Arkansas being the quartz capital. I had no idea.
