Reclaiming Wonders
A young boy is sitting at a wooden table, intensely focused on a writing or school assignment in front of him. He is wearing a navy blue t-shirt and has his head slightly bent down as he grips a pencil in his hand, writing on paper that is spread out on the table. The image conveys a sense of diligence and concentration as the boy works on his schoolwork or writing task.

There are tough days. So many. You’ll yell. He’ll yell. You’ll both cry. But then he’ll kiss you goodnight and ask you to lay with him while he reads his book. Just another day. . . It’s hard. But keep going. Because, one day, you’ll figure out your rhythm, and it’ll work. Then it won’t. And you’ll tweak it again. You’ll work on making more praises than critiques. . . Maybe you figure out his enneagram type… and you’ll wish he wasn’t such a one in conflict with your two-one-ness. 😋 . . So here’s one more day. Love over writing. Relationship over perfection. . . Homeschooling changes parents so much… just gotta be willing to let it happen. In love. . . And if you have one of those rare boys who love writing… I’m jealous 🤓
