Embrace Cozy Homeschooling Moments
Hey. Pssstt. Mom. Put down the curriculum. Ignore the nagging voice in your head. And read.
.
Yes, there comes a time for math worksheets in upper elementary. Or handwriting once their hands are strong enough. Or writing a paper for co-op. But that’s it. They’ll be okay!

‘Tis the season when the kids will argue with me every time I tell them morning time will not be in front of the fire… Yes, it’s cozy. However, it’s hard to do a map or craft project sitting on a couch. Somewhere, we will gather at least three times a week. That’s the goal.
.
If we get this 1.5 hours in, I feel like we’ve accomplished “school”. Praying, Bible reading, history, science, and beautiful books. Together.

Dare I say the rest is just extra? Put down that curriculum you bought thinking you needed one. And rest.

And if you real-life friends admit to me (you know who you are), that you “haven’t gotten school done,” just know I’ll applaud it and tell you to enjoy the fall. With a library card! 🤓
