Homeschooling Adventures in the Woods

“Is school not in session?”he asked as we walked past him this morning? When I told him we homeschool, he said, “But it’s only temporary, right?” . . To which his two companions piped up that homeschooling is awesome and told him we were doing PE right then! . . For three miles we walked (one with an audiobook) through the woods looking at leaf imprints, identifying mushrooms on iNaturalist, finding wild grapes, and climbing up on Mom to retrieve the cool green thing in the tree —- which we identified as an Osage orange... Super sticky when cut open at home btw. . . Yes, we did school. No, it isn’t temporary ;) iNaturalist for the win.
