Holiday Crafting with Kids: Chaos and Joy

When the housing addition offers Santa and crafts... We drag Daddy along! Donuts. Meghan, the Persistent first-born,making her gingerbread house to completions and details and moving on to touch every other- painted ornament x 2, stocking painting... Cooper, the Perfectionist, getting frustrated with the collapsing house to make a pile of candy and seek solace in calm bracelet beading with Daddy until following big sister. Katie, the Crazy mooch, declaring she's just going to sit and eat the candy after quickly losing interest in the house building... Cracks me up seeing this rare opportunity to graze. And Hunter, the Sneak, reaching for more donuts, proudly nibbling his Oreo, taking off pushing the stroller and to leave the room, talking to the play set outside, making a bracelet with Daddy, the Bored. So many personalities on display. Messy ones at that.
