Reclaiming Wonders
A smiling woman wearing sunglasses, a navy baseball cap, and a blue hooded jacket is captured in an outdoor setting surrounded by tall pine trees. She appears to be carrying a backpack, likely for hiking or exploring nature. The vibrant green foliage and wooden fence in the background suggest a peaceful and scenic environment, possibly a state park or nature reserve. The woman's cheerful expression and casual attire convey a sense of adventure and appreciation for the great outdoors.

Homeschool Mom's Nature Adventures

Peek-a-boo, it’s time re-introduce myself. I’m Bobbie. A not working physician assistant, homeschool mom of four finishing up our 8th year of this crazy life together! I did the full-time working mom thing… the part-time working while homeschooling mom thing… and now I get to be the all-the-time-home thing. Here I am - keepin’ it real (and sometimes too much so). 😉 . This picture is my life in a nutshell. Minus the four kids (ages 14 down to 8) who were waiting in the car after our Georgia state park hike with friends in the rain. Seen here: 😎Baseball cap and sunglasses - For sun protection and mom hair, I tend to have on a hat at least several times a week. Outings often involve a park or hike. 🎒Kavu Bag - It’s a hiking bag, water bag, money bag… and store place for impromptu learning with dice, dry erase markers, cards, and pencils. My bullet journal is often with me to document our days, and my travel journal to plan our next adventure during downtime. 🎧Bluetooth headphones - Introverts unite! I don’t need to hide in my head as much when I first stayed home, but these allow for some audiobooks or podcasts while the kids take off ahead of you. Leave one ear free so you can be a responsible mom. 😂 🧥Coat - Usually it’s a flannel or chambray shirt. You have to dress in layers to be an outside mom in Georgia. Always prepared! 🌳Trees - We’ve lived in Georgia for four years now, and I still live in awe of the beauty and green here. While we always could use more time outside, we’re out and exploring several times a week. . . That’s me. We do Classical Conversations but have a lot of unschool tendencies. Most of our time is spent with books, travel, nature, games, and life learning! . . Thanks for following along. I love learning from you all. Please check out my blog Reclaiming Wonders where I write about our learning trips and homeschooling. I hope you can benefit from my research just as I use that of others. . Join in on @intentionalhomeschooling 10 days of homeschool - here’s day 1. #hereisourhomeschool . What do you carry that marks your life of learning? I’m sure there’s room in my bag for more. ❤️
