Family Togetherness After a Challenging Day

Bad day in homeschool land... let’s make that mom-kid relationship land. Possibly fed a bit with fatigue. A day with yelling. Anger (mine). Tears (his, almost mine). Hugs. Hand holding. Cuddles. Apologies. All after a nice conversation this morning about respect and how to show it to each other, our stuff, our house, etc. The back talking and sass has peaked around here, and this mom is fed up. After trying to salvage the day, we just needed some togetherness. Daddy brought home pizza, we watched a movie, and all went for a walk in the country... only to get home and deal with more dishonesty. And tomorrow is another day. And we will try again. A new day to start over and learn together and grow more toward how we are called to be. And thank God I have a hubby who can bear some of the weight and be an extra disciplinarian. Can’t do it in my own!
