Family Hiking Adventure at Panola Mountain State Park

Birthday hiking adventure at #panolamountainstatepark although we didn’t make it all the way to see the mountain. Hikes in Georgia are so much more hilly than Texas so three miles takes it out of you a lot faster. Armed with our new binoculars but mostly just listened and identified birds. Ready to go for next time though! Trying to get our exploring in before it gets HOT! Leaf identifying. More poison ivy. Compasses. Map reading... I told them kids learn to do this in school usually and they didn’t understand. Real world trails abound!
