Reclaiming Wonders
A happy family consisting of two adults and three young children is posing for a selfie outdoors in a scenic park setting. They are standing on a grassy area near a peaceful pond or small lake surrounded by trees. The children, two boys and a girl, are smiling and making playful gestures with their hands, seemingly enjoying a fun family outing. One of the adults, likely the mother, is taking the selfie and beaming with joy. The family appears to be spending quality time together in nature, creating cherished memories.

Family Geocaching Adventure

Lovely new alliteration for our learning life: Map it Monday. Aka geocaching! Hopefully without complaints because they know what’s on the schedule. . . Isn’t it awesome to learn new stuff about your regular places? Our first Earthcache in our geocaching adventure had us looking for the start of the underground spring, deciding if it was an artesian well, and estimating the flow in gallons per minute. Then we sent our answers in for “approval” — such a lovely tie in to all our estimation talks we’ve done lately. Need more earthcaching! . . And my world traveller said, “Show your Shaka!” a la Hawaii mere months ago. Sometimes I just sit back in amazement at how much they soak into daily life. Learning is life. . . PS: I really need someone to wake up my mom brain as to why I never asked why this park has the word spring in its name. Duh!
