Exploring the Passover Traditions

Since Easter is connected with Passover, shouldn’t we try to understand what the Jewish celebration of Passover entails? If Jesus was in Jerusalem celebrating Passover, shouldn’t we understand why? Not to mention the questions from the kids about Judaism as it comes up in our Bible reading. . . And I found this lovely book that shows the Seder meal and talks about the reason for each part. We haven’t learned a ton yet, but this book is another step on the process... and a beautiful step at that. I posted a video so you can see the fold outs of each page. . . We’re also fixing to dive into the Holocaust and the kids need to see it as real history impacting a real group of people. The horror of the Holocaust is even worse when you start to realize how their Jewish faith was impacted at so many steps along the way. . . I would love some more resources if anyone has some... especially an adult study book paralleling Christianity with Old Testament Jewish practices. This momma’s gotta learn too!
