Exploring the Hunterian Museum
#hunterianmuseum is one if the reasons for the trek to #glasgowuniversity and another free museum! This one natural history based.
And it seems C narrates back to Dad the things he sees just as much as he does to the little kids ;)
We looked at different bird nests, conjoined animal twins, Roman artifacts, medical specimens, stones... Cool thermoscans of different animals including penguins showing how well insulated they are - a C favorite.
And one of the only few bone replicas of Lucy (yes, that Lucy... the human ancestor) which led to some interesting discussions, but mostly just surprised me by how short she is!
And a dire wolf skeleton and a taxidermied Tasmanian wolf.. which was a marsupial?
And when K wants to being her backpack... let her! Then she and H can plop themselves down in a corner and play tic tac toe on a dry erase board. Such troopers!
