Reclaiming Wonders
A young blonde girl wearing a light blue t-shirt is standing barefoot in a garden or backyard. She is reaching up with her right hand to touch the stem of a gigantic leafy plant towering over her head. The plant appears to be a type of elephant ear or colocasia, with massive green leaves that dwarf the child in size. The background shows a grassy area with a parked car visible behind a chain-link fence, indicating an urban or residential setting.

Exploring Nature's Giants

Confession for #thisisourhomeschool —- I don’t have a science curriculum. We have the weekly science sentence with CC, but we just read lots of books. And explore. And measure “monster plant” that grows outside our breakfast room every spring at a crazy fast rate. . . We read biographies of famous scientists and explore nature and go to science museums and create projects and read space books and watch science you tube videos and look I. The microscope and observe our planet on adventures. Don’t forget the full animal biology curriculum called Wild Kratts and the zoo. . . I fully embrace the idea that science is life and everywhere around us. At least while in the elementary years ;) . . All we have to do is open our eyes to the awesomeness around us.
