Exploring Lost Valley Trail's Cave Waterfall

Saving the best for the last day of Arkansas exploring, here is the Lost Valley Trail along the Buffalo River. The towering limestone cliffs and trickling waterfalls are beautiful, but the true highlight is climbing through the cave to the inner room with the waterfall. We explored this area in 2019 with @amysheffieldmartin and @nixafirechaplain when it was full of water and our feet were soaked. This time was dry, so it was a different experience. Bring a flashlight or headlamps. Prepare to crawl and slither to get into the cave. Maybe even bring knee pads because it’s not for the faint of heart. Hike the stairs and come ready to explore. Warning: This hike will make you want to find more caves. This is the true winner!
