Exploring Keanae's Lava Rocks on the Road to Hana

Keanae Peninsula on our 13-hour road to Hana drive was our first longer stop... After getting three loaves of Auntie Sandy’s famous banana bread, of course... and it didn’t disappoint. . . C greeted me out of the car shirtless in his attempt to be local and took off across the lava rocks to discover hermit crabs with Dad. K climbed some cool trees while Mom roamed. . . The scenery all along the drive was beautiful, and each beach was different. This beach at Kenae is one for exploring along the jagged rocks with good water shoes. Prepare to sit in the tide pools and look for creatures. . . And no major injuries occurred here despite crazy children and rough rocks.
