We examined the grave of a man who had been a teenage Confederate soldier, discussed possible family connections, examined dates and compared to history at that time, looked at changing the spelling of the last name, possible death in childbirth... . History and lessons are all around us. We just have to open our eyes. And respecting a random cemetery sounds like a good way to start.
