Exploring DaVinci's Inventions

Field trip to Moody Gardens to go to the DaVinci exhibit. I don't think they were really planning on the interest level of a group of kids who wanted to figure the inventions out. How dare they out "do not touch" signs on some of these machines -the handles just wanted to be moved. Yes, there was some reprimanding. A lot ;(. The ones we did get to move brought much delight and intrigue as they figured out which gears and pulleys moved what and why. I think we all came home with a new found admiration for this Mona Lisa painter, artist, thinker, engineer, and architect. Amazing. Cooper, my little engineer, drug me from invention to invention so I could read the signs to him. He especially loved it. I had a feeling he might ;)
