Reclaiming Wonders
A wooden footbridge extends across a natural, verdant setting, surrounded by lush trees and foliage. The bridge is constructed of sturdy wooden planks and has rustic handrails on both sides for safety. In the middle of the bridge stands a lone person, a woman walking towards the opposite end, her back turned to the camera. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and serenity, inviting the viewer to slow down and appreciate the beauty of nature. The vibrant greenery and the warm sunlight filtering through the trees create a peaceful and inviting atmosphere.

Embracing Slow Travel

Slow. Soak. Savor.❤️ In my ideal life, slow travel would mean that I have three months in Tuscany before switching to a new villa in a small town along the Amalfi Coast. Until that happens… 😉 In real life, slow travel means 🔹Not rushing to the next destination but slowing down to fully be present 🔹Not just checking off my “look where we went” list 🔹Not being so inflexible that there isn’t time for parks or return visits to new favorites 🔹Not prioritizing busy over some much-needed rest or a late morning for exhausted kids 🔹Not having to say “no” to an interesting stop because we don’t “have time” 🔹Not overlooking the amazing NOW because my sights are already on the next place 🔹Not rushing playtime because Mom thinks her agenda is more important than stick fighting or bridge exploring It isn’t always easy, but this mama doesn’t like zooming through life and feeling time crunched. I can’t turn off my brain, I get flustered, and no one has fun. It takes an intentionality… and is always a struggle for my over-planning, check-list self. 😊 👉How do you intentionally slow down in every day life and travel?
