Embrace Self-Acceptance and Nurture Confidence
Be kind. To yourself. (And preaching to myself too!)
.
Your kids are watching. And listening. And they will pass your insecurities on to themselves and your future grandchildren.
.
I’ve had a handful of friends over the past several years confide in me that they don’t wear shorts. Thin or heavy. Veins or cellulite or paleness. Everyone has something that they think needs to be hidden.
.
It’s summer. It’s hot. Put on the stinkin’ shorts and go play with your kids comfortably. If anyone else cares about your veins or dimples, they need to reshuffle their focus a bit to something important.
.
And don’t criticize your legs in front of your kids when you put them on! They’re listening.
.
.
PS: I’m still all about modesty. And so over seeing everyone’s belly buttons 😉
