Reclaiming Wonders
A young girl with long, blonde hair is smiling and posing with a set of colorful Cuisenaire rods laid out in a symmetrical pattern in front of her. The rods are wooden, cylindrical pieces of various bright colors like blue, yellow, red, and green, arranged in a zigzag formation on a hardwood floor. The girl is wearing a white floral top and is standing in front of a set of glass doors, suggesting an indoor setting. The background appears to be a living room or sitting area with wood floors and window frames. The image conveys a playful and educational scene of a child engaging with a classic math learning toy.

Educational Play with Colorful Math Rods

I like to think this pattern IS Katie. Why go red blue red blue... when you can be all over the place like she is? ;) “Mom, take a picture of my symmetry!” I just bought Cuisinaire rods... should have done it years ago... learn from my mistake. They played with them and figured out “math” all on their own. And I’m calling this a game... ;)
