Reclaiming Wonders
A massive and awe-inspiring dinosaur skeleton is on display in a grand museum hall with soaring arched glass ceilings and sandstone walls. The towering skeleton, likely a Brachiosaurus or other sauropod dinosaur, stands tall with its long neck extending upwards. Its massive rib cage and legs dwarf a small child sitting on a bench below, providing a striking sense of scale. The intricate details of the fossilized bones and their articulation are meticulously preserved and presented, inviting visitors to marvel at the ancient giants that once roamed the Earth. The museum's architecture, with its vaulted ceilings and warm sandstone hues, creates a serene and reverent atmosphere that complements the grandeur of the prehistoric exhibit.

Dinosaur Exhibit at Fernbank Museum

Isn’t this room at Fernbank Museum the best? While we do miss our Houston dinosaurs, this room is a good second choice. The comparison to my kids is so impressive in size! . . Such a typical homeschool day: Avi on audiobook, a museum for nature exploring and playing and physics experiments, ChickFilA for a snack, and a bookstore. Can it be more stereotypical than that? 😂 . . It was a good day spent playing and exploring and getting out of the house. Two hours of audiobooks in the car completes the learning for the day - it totally counts! Especially when someone has to stop off at the closest Half Price Books 😄
