Creative Beach Day

I know a now nine year old who laid in my bed this morning and started humming Happy Birthday to herself ;). Then made everyone pbj for lunch and packed it, helped get her brother ready, sincerely thanked me for her gifts, wrote in her new secret journal in the car, wanted me pick her bday breakfast.... and then spent some time at the beach with her brothers and sister... and drew/colored after supper while I read some (requested) history book to her? I have a big girl and a big helper and the gift is all for me today. Oh how different my family would be if she were a different type of kid. She's paving the way for the others and it's a great road to follow!
