Children Learning Compassion

I gave a homeless guy money yesterday on our way downtown. I never do that. Sorry. I prefer anonymous donations through church etc. Doesn't mean I don't feel bad every time. Anyways. I came home from work today to find that my kids and their friend Ava had been acting out homeless guy and practicing helping him and giving him money. Even made their own money to do it. They have never done this before. Acted like it was a completely normal thing to "play". Only reason I post this is to say... Our kids notice. Everything. May we give them this to act out instead of our bad habits. Be intentional. May they carry this into adulthood instead of copying our own failures when we didn't help instead. Eye opening this one. More like the little children. God knows what He's talking about on this one.
