Reclaiming Wonders
The image captures a warm and serene moment in the countryside of Texas. A golf cart, painted in a vibrant green hue, stands on a dirt path surrounded by a rugged landscape. Three individuals sit comfortably inside the cart, their faces filled with contentment as they take in the breathtaking sunset. The sky is awash with hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the scene. In the distance, a line of trees silhouettes against the evening sky, adding depth and texture to the picturesque view. A white fence runs parallel to the path, providing a sense of order and structure amidst the natural beauty.

Cherishing Family Ties in the Texas Countryside

Home. In Texas. Just for a little bit. And I need to remember that traveling and visiting family across the country and maintaining relationships is one of my main reasons for not working currently. No matter the doubts that may creep in questioning if we’re doing the right thing. And that to be able to be gone from Georgia for weeks at a time is a gift... For my kids to be known and loved by great aunts and uncles and cousins and my growing-up church family and... and... to spend time with them building those so important relationships... that so much trumps my working right now. And for this crazy mom to be grounded and to know that I have people in my corner no matter what. I’m thankful for that. And that even though North Texas is a whole different world than the Georgia forests we currently call home, it has its own beauty. I just didn’t always allow myself to see it when I lived here. Thank you for loving us in Texas. I can feel it from half way across the country.
