Behind the Scenes: Family Outing Struggles

Real talk. Truth before the fairy tale. And affirmation that you aren’t the only one with the yuck. You are not alone. Remember, these little squares are only the partial story. 😞Not the yelling and tears that happened before we ever left the house. 😞Or how I was told the whole idea of a day trip was stupid… Several times. 😞Or the arguing in the car there. 😞Or how I wanted to scrap the whole thing. I have yet to figure out how to punish the two difficult ones without unfairly punishing those who were packed and ready? So one kid didn’t have the luxury of headphones in the car and another earned none of the way back. Lame I know but seems the most effective. We had a good day. At least I did. Staying home would have punished me the most I’m sure 😂 Maybe tomorrow I’ll tell you about our adventure.
