Reclaiming Wonders
The image captures two children engaged in outdoor learning and study on a porch surrounded by vibrant fall foliage. A young girl with blonde hair, wearing a navy blue shirt, is intently focused on a workbook, writing with a pencil. Across from her sits a younger boy wearing a gray shirt, holding a blue water bottle in a playful manner. Between them lies an open book, likely a textbook or reference material, and various papers and workbooks scattered on the rustic wooden table. Dappled sunlight and shadows from nearby trees create a serene ambiance, making the scene reminiscent of a cozy autumn day spent in nature's classroom.

Appreciating Homeschool Moments in Autumn

Thankful. . . For beautiful fall weather. For a moment of peace where the bigs did homework together outside. For big boxes that make for creative reading nooks. For the freedom to be able to count Awana as reading and writing. For our CC homeschool world view that includes drawing South America for learning. For a big porch that is used frequently as a room. For a forest backyard that encourages digging for artifacts and acting like archeologists. For math using games. For chocolate. For a fifth grader who willingly writes his Jefferson paper this year... For now. For sister who proudly announces she finished her book and goes to get the next one. For audiobooks. For being able to stay home while Hubby slaves away ;) For brothers and sisters who want to have a Nerd fun battle. And, yes, even for Minecraft. . . This lovely weather sure makes it hard for me to “do school”.
