Amicalola Falls Autumn Hike

#amicololafalls is the tallest cascade east of Mississippi, and everyone else east of the Mississippi I think went today to see some colors. I thought we were going to have to leave due to no parking spaces, but we figured it out. 600+ stairs down and step terrain back up. And the start of the Appalachian Trail. C was excited since he has been taking for months now about when he gets to hike it... I think he’s making high school plans? After the mile today of elevation, maybe that changed. And somehow enough energy to climb extra trees and fuss when I said no playing at the park. ;) and a cool salamander another kid showed us for bonus! How about those tree colors? I fought sun glare the whole trip so lots is dark in the pics... doesn’t seem as awesome as I’ve seen in Arkansas and Missouri... but still nice and better than at our house.
