Mountain Summit Reflections
🏔️ Big Mountain Hot Take:
I do it for the views & the memories more than the feeling of accomplishment
I can do mentally & physically challenging hard things. I already know that. I’ve done them hundreds of times
But I no longer subject myself to pain to prove to myself I can handle it. Because I know I’m strong and capable of whatever comes my way
I choose to subject myself to pleasure, friendship, fun, awe and openness, but not pain
I’ll admit I get some satisfaction of being completely exhausted - The pleasure, awe and pain sometimes all come together, but the last part is no longer part my mission
ALSO It doesn’t matter if you hike 1 miles or 10 miles. 100 ft up or 2,000 ft up. You’re part of nature, a hiker and a badass.
Check out the Marmot that sneaked up on my in the last video! 😅🦫✌🏼
