Hiking Essentials Beyond the Basics

#ad Hiking essentials beyond the basics!👇🏼 You may already know you need water, layers, hiking boots, etc, so here are some other items I’ve found super helpful for hiking adventures! 💼 A Dry Bag: These can be found at REI or any outdoors store. They’re great for so many things like putting layers in when it rains (you don’t want your down puffy to get wet), packing in and out trash (there’s a roll top with a clasp so the smell won’t get out) and/or packing out any wet items you may have like if you were to jump in this alpine lake ;) 🧦 Extra Wool Socks: Wet feet cause blisters, and maybe even frostbite if its the right season, so make sure to pack an extra pair of wool socks in case your feet get sweaty or wet some other way. Changing them at the top of the hike is pure bliss, trust me on this one! 🤳 A durable phone case from @otterbox . I can’t tell you how many times my phone has fallen out of the side of my backpack or my pocket! Thankfully it hasn’t broken because I have an amazing MagSafe Case from OtterBox that’s slim enough for my pocket but protective enough for an outdoor adventure 🪫 Bonus! This OtterBox Power Bank works with MagSafe tech to adhere magnetically to my phone case and charge it on the hike! All the pictures and videos I take drain the battery, and for safety reasons, you’ll want to make sure your phone is charged on the hike in case of emergency What would you add to this list?! . . .
