Fall Hike Packing Tips
》Fall hike packing list! Save this to keep it handy & let me know if I left anything out《
·
》Temps swing so wildly in Colorado and in the fall, you can be near freezing in the morning and have a warm, sunny afternoon. It’s so important to not only pack the right layers, but pack layers that are complimentary weights, have some kind of waterproofing or water resistance, and for me its key to have two different weights of socks AND two different weights of gloves《
·
Little tips that make a big difference:
·
》take an extra water bottle for the car ride so you don’t use your reserves
·
》take more calories than you think you’ll need - you never know if you, a friend or someone on the trail is going to need some extra energy
·
》I ALWAYS take a second pair of socks. Not only in case they get wet in a stream, but switching socks at the top of a mountain is a ritual of mine now because it’s really feels like such a luxury to me (just trust me)
