Visiting the Utah Salt Flats

In honor of finding this gem here are a few quick tips about visiting the salt flats!
💦 If you want to see the salt flats flooded visit between November and May (check before going) and for a dry experience visit in the summer.
🏨 You can stay in Salt Lake City and make it a day trip or you can snag a hotel in the nearby town of Wendover.
🚽 There are ZERO facilities out there so come prepared with enough fuel, food, and water.
📱There is limited service out there be prepared to navigate without help.
🏎 Watch for others! There are loads of people out there racing their cars, generally flooring it down the flats, smaller motorized vehicles zipping through, and people walking around. There isn’t really a rhyme or reason to the directions people drive so be extra cautious!
