3 things to know before hiking a 14er 👇🏻 🏔️ Altitude sickness is very real so if you plan to hike a 14er try and spend time at a high altitude for at least three days prior to the hike. 🧤Pack layers because after passing tree line you’re entirely exposed to the elements. Wind, rain, snow, and sun are all things you could and likely will experience at this altitude. 🐐 Be prepared to encounter wildlife. These mountain goats were pretty territorial but also had no fear about standing, crossing, or enjoying the trail for themselves.
