Nikki Tomlin
A young woman with long blonde hair is sitting on a tree stump in a serene snowy forest. She is wearing a black dress and a wide-brimmed hat, and her gaze is contemplative as she looks off into the distance. The trees around her are tall and bare, their trunks standing out against the pristine white snow that blankets the ground. The scene has a peaceful, introspective quality, with the woman seeming lost in thought amidst the tranquil winter landscape.

Take a Step Back and Recharge

It’s ok to take a step back! 📱A step back from social media 🖥 From your job ❤️ From your relationship It doesn’t matter what it is and it doesn’t have to be forever or cause a problem with other people involved. ✨Taking a step back from social media can mean putting your phone down for a weekend and truly being present with yourself or those around you. ✨Taking a step back from your job can be setting stricter boundaries for yourself about taking work home (physically or mentally). ✨Taking a step back from your relationship can be having a date night with yourself once a month. Last week I noticed that I was pretty glued to my phone and that it had been a couple of months since I took a weekend away from Instagram. Instagram is a huge part of my job but opening it daily and spending hours doing xyz with no break was really bogging me down. I decided Saturday morning I was going to take the weekend and disconnect and relax. Taking that step back helped me gain a bit of perspective about how much time I was spending here (a lot of aimless scrolling was involved) and helped me get a lot of other things done! What is something you feel like you need to take a step back from a little more often? And when was the last time you did it? • • • • • • #advancedselfie #mindsetmatters #adventurephotographer #adventurephotography #selfportraitphotography #mindsetiseverything #adventuretravels #motivationdaily #portraitphotography📷
