The image captures a serene and tranquil scene at a tropical beach with crystal clear turquoise waters and a picturesque cloudscape in the background. In the foreground, a woman is gracefully posing on a large, weathered rock protruding from the shallow waters. She is wearing a flowing, off-shoulder dress with intricate floral patterns and a vibrant red floral headpiece adorning her hair. Her relaxed and carefree stance, with her arms outstretched and eyes closed, exudes a sense of peace and harmony with the natural surroundings. The rocky outcroppings and scattered boulders in the shallow waters add textural interest to the scene, while the gentle ripples on the water's surface and the wispy clouds in the sky contribute to the overall serene ambiance.

The Importance of Patience in Photography

How patient are you with yourself or others when learning new things? (Save this post for the next time you are feeling frustrated about photography!) You want to know how many times I asked @_saralilley and @maddyminsky to retake this shot? About a gazillion! And it wasn't because I was looking for the perfect Instagram photo, but because I had previsualized exactly what I wanted this photo to look like down to the tiniest details. Photography is just as much about capturing things you see on a whim as it is about capturing the things you think about for minutes, hours, days, and weeks prior. It doesn't have to be either of these things and it can be both! But the key is to have patience with yourself (and with others if they are helping you) to get the shot you want. I have learned to communicate better with others when they are helping me take photos of myself or if they are helping me take photos of others. I have also learned to be patient with myself if I am setting up and taking photos myself because it can take soooo much longer than when I have extra hands. Basically anytime I pick up a camera I have learned that patience is of utmost importance! One of the first things I tell people when they ask for photography tips is just that. 👆🏻 Patience, always! Learning this art is not easy, no matter how easy the internet makes it seem! If I don't cover patience first I usually say to just keep photographing! All the time! It doesn't matter if it's with your phone or a camera you spent your savings on, the important thing is to keep photographing, and eventually, you will be creating the images you have always dreamed about!
