Passion-Fueled Journey to Half Dome
Sometimes travel guides, photography tips, and information on where to sleep or eat just can’t be talked about with a set of photos from my travels.
This is the case for these 👆🏻
That giant rock behind me is something I stared at and studied for yeeeears in college. I learned about how photography evolved enough for Ansel Adams to be able to photograph it, what that photograph means to the photography community, and how photography has grown since he captured this massive piece of nature.
I remember sitting in class thinking “one day I’ll see it with my own eyes but I’ll probably be 80 something and my vision will be terrible. At least I’ll be able to see it though.”
My passions for photography were different then and obviously things changed because these photos of me with half dome exist now.
It’s insane that so many things can change in a few years but I’ll always be grateful that I’ve accepted that it’s ok for my passions to change because it has made moments like this happen.
Let your passions guide you even if they change.
What is something you have done that you thought would take you a lifetime to do?
