A young woman stands alone on a narrow path surrounded by a dense forest of tall evergreen trees. The trees are lush and vibrant, with branches covered in long, feathery green needles. The sun filters through the canopy, casting dappled light and shadows on the ground. The woman is wearing a light-colored top and dark pants, with her long blonde hair cascading down her back. She stands facing towards the camera, her arms at her sides, seemingly taking in the serene beauty of the natural surroundings.

Prioritize Your Dreams, Not Society's Expectations

Do you want to live a more adventurous and travel filled life? - I’m going to assume your answer is yes so I’m going to be a little blunt here... - (Save this post to come back to when you’re starting to feel like your dreams aren’t worth it and share it with your friends who need a little kick to get their dreams rolling!) - You MUST prioritize it then. More often than not when I talk to people about my travels or lifestyle they always say ‘I wish I could travel more like you’ or ‘your life is so fun and I wish could do those things you do.’ To which I promptly respond with a ‘YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN..’ and explain prioritizing it and they proceed to tell me they can’t because of a job, they want to buy a house, or some other reason that sounds a lot more like societal pressure then what they actually want based off of the tone of their voice. - I understand these things can be necessities in some cases or a form of security which is great, but they aren’t an excuse for not living the life you want. You can have a job and still travel. You can have a house and still explore. You can have a family and still make your dreams come true. - It’s about building a base to keep YOU comfortable, not to make society happy, and then prioritizing what feels good to YOU and what YOUR dreams are. You can have a full time job and still travel, I’ve done it. You can buy a house and still road trip but maybe that means waiting to buy a house for a few years or buying one with a lower budget (you should see some of the low cost apartments I’ve lived in..). You can have a family and still go hiking, we do all the time with our friends who have a daughter and it’s amazing to watch her see the world! - The point is.. You. Can. Do. It. You just have to prioritize it. It’s not easy but it is absolutely worth it! - Are you prioritizing what you want in life?
