Photography Tips: Exploring New Angles
You asked for it...
(Save this post to help with your photography skills!)
You asked for more photography tips when I asked what you all wanted to see in captions this week! So let's talk about moving while photographing.
No matter what you are photographing, whether it's your animals, grand landscapes, kiddos, or the details of a beautiful flower, don't forget to move!
I had an assignment in school where I had to create 100 different images while standing in one spot without moving more than a few inches from that original location. It sounds easy, but it was not.
We were told before going out that we were going to have to move and I didn't really understand why because I was thinking lazy and easy before I even started.
And then I picked my spot and the workout began. I was stretching to my highest tiptoes, rolling around in muddy wet leaves in a gutter, and reaching for that perfect angle with the best light.
When photographing any subject, it is important to think about all of the ways YOU as the photographer can move and not just how your subject can move.
It will change your style of photography, your understanding of your subject, teach you more about lighting, and so much more!
I challenge you to try the assignment I talked about above and see how creative you can be in capturing 100 different images while standing in one spot! Post your favorite shot from the challenge and tag me in it!
