Tips for Visiting the Blue Lagoon in Iceland
ICELAND’S BLUE LAGOON✨
(Save this post for your trip to the Blue Lagoon!)
👯♀️First things first, of course this is a mega tourist attraction so if you go into it thinking you’re going to be the only one there or somehow the staff will make sure you only speak to them and no one else to make your experience fabulous, then you’re not going to have a good time. In a typical year 1 million people visit this spot so go into it knowing you’ll be experiencing it for the first time with other people who are doing the same!
⏰ That being said, reserve the earliest slot of the day! I went right at opening, didn’t wait in line for longer than 60 seconds, and wasn’t bumping elbows with anyone in the locker room or lagoon.
🧖♀️There are three packages available to purchase that will give you different experiences. Comfort, premium, and luxury. Comfort is great if you’re on a tighter budget, but I 100% recommend splurging a bit on the premium package. The robe alone is worth the cost but the three step mask is what blew my mind. Plus you get a free drink at the swim up bar and in the restaurant. 🥂 The luxury package is super expensive and I’m sure worth it but I don’t know anyone who has tried it out to give an opinion 😬
🚶🏼♀️And of course make sure to walk the entire lagoon as there so many beautiful views and even a spot with some gooey something at the bottom of the pool. 🤪
💁🏼♀️ Oh and don’t put your head in the water! Your hair will be sooo dry you’ll spend weeks trying to bring moisture back into it! 😬
What is one place in Iceland that you feel you HAVE to visit on your first trip?
