The image depicts a smiling young woman with long brown hair, standing on a brick-paved street in a charming European village or town. She is wearing a white long-sleeved top and jeans, and is posing with her hands in her pockets. Behind her, there are quaint old buildings with colorful facades and sloping roofs, some adorned with decorative wood carvings. A distinctive tower-like structure with a domed roof and clock face stands prominently in the background, suggesting this may be a town square or central area. The scene is bathed in warm, golden light, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

Reflections on Finding Life's Path

I used to drive through Vail, CO, headed to yet another trailhead, nearly every week. I never thought once that I should go into the villages and explore or try some food. Life had other plans though and a couple years later I found myself back in the state I moved from specifically to visit Vail on a job with a friend. So many times in my life I’ve found connections to things from different versions of me making appearances in my present day. Things I’ve overthought and dreamt of endlessly and in things I barely cataloged into my memories. You can, of course, look for these things and call it coincidence or you could take a moment to reflect and find a little peace in the idea that maybe this is your sign that you’re living a life that was made for you. I drove through Vail countless times dreaming of the ways my camera could take me around the world. I think I left some of that dream dust there to bring me back to Vail and show me that I am living what I used to dream of in these mountains. My advice here is to take the time to reflect and be proud of yourself for every step you’ve taken to get where you are and don’t be afraid of the work it will take to get to where you want to be. When was the last time you found a connection that made you feel like “dang I’m living life exactly how I’m meant to be?”
