A woman stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking a stunning seascape. The sky is overcast, lending a moody atmosphere to the scene. In the distance, two small rocky islands protrude from the ocean waters. The woman is barefoot and casually dressed in a red top and denim shorts, with her long hair blowing in the wind behind her. The perspective conveys a sense of adventure and freedom, capturing a moment of tranquility amidst the raw beauty of nature.

The Call of Wanderlust

What do you miss most when traveling? (Save this post for the next time you’re struggling to decide on if you should go on a trip or if you should come home from one! 🤪) For me it’s a list of things. 🐈‍⬛ My kitties 🏡Family 👯‍♀️Friends 🚿My shower 🛌My bed 🤪My routine And this list goes on and on and on! Sometimes I want to let these things hold me back from traveling but I’ve learned to let those things be the reasons I’m excited to go home! For a long time I struggled with leaving my traveling adventures to come home. I cried because I love seeing and experiencing new things so much and going back to Colorado seemed like such a drag. And then one day I was on a plane crying (yes I cry in tight public places where everyone can see me 🤪) about going back home and a thought came to me.. PEOPLE DREAM THEIR WHOLE LIVES OF COMING TO THE PLACE I GET TO CALL HOME Their whole lives! You may think where you live is boring or not as exciting (yes even those of you that live in small Midwest towns!) as XXX but there is someone in the world that is itching to visit or already lives where you do and LOVES it! Mashing these ideas together has made traveling even more fulfilling than it already was! And makes leaving on the next adventure so much easier! What do you tell yourself when that list of things you miss so much feels like it’s weighing on you like a ton of bricks but you also want to travel? • • • • • •
