Here’s some harsh truth👇 Let me preface this by saying I say all this out of a genuine desire to help and it would be doing you a disservice to not mention this truth. There are thousands, even tens of thousands of other creatives who are just as talented as you. I know everyone likes to tout that their style is unique and no one can do what they do but when it comes down to it brands don’t really care and I’m guessing if you’re watching this video your bank account proves that to be true. You can be a creative genius and have the best skills in the world, but you’ll be doing it as a side hobby if you can’t sell a brand on why they should hire you while you build someone else’s dream full time. Remember you’re competing with professionals… the best of the best in the world at what they do! This is serious. Most people get into this space because they’re passionate about creating and don’t want to do the 9-5 thing. I hate to break it to you, but if you can’t figure out how to get consistent clients, you’re gonna have to go back to that 9-5. It may be in 3 months, 6 months, 2 years who knows but one thing is certain, you need consistent cash flow to survive and clients are the lifeblood that allows you to do that. Figuring out how to get clients consistently should be every creatives top priority. If your acquisition system relies on luck, it’s not a system, it’s a gamble. Idk about you but I don’t like to gamble with my livelihood. All that to say, if you are in a place where you’re feeling burnt out by the process you are following, it’s time to make a change.
