The True Cost of Material Possessions
The price for anything is the amount of life you exchange for it. I was doing some math the other day and realized that if you are at a minimum wage job then you are making 17 cents per minute. Essentially one minute of your life is worth 17 cents.
Using the same logic if you want to buy a $300 tv, it doesn’t sound like a ton, but when you break it down, that TV is worth 30 hours of your life.
I totally understand that some people have to do what it takes to survive and I totally applaud that, but at the same time, I think it’s always best to move towards passive income sources.
I’ve worked everything from entry level minimum wage to freelance to online business and in doing so have come to understand how much my time is worth to me and how much things cost in minutes of life.
I challenge you to break down some of your expenses that way and see if they are really worth the time. And then take it a step further and try to build passive income sources to eventually remove your time from the equation allowing more time for you to do what you love.
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙 •
