The True Meaning of 'All Things Work Together for Good'

All things work together for good. This is a common catchphrase in pop culture. People throw it around without any context or authority. And it’s one of the most commonly quoted bible verses, but it’s also probably one of the most misunderstood. The actual verse says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 Notice that it doesn’t say your IMMEDIATE good or your definition of good. It also doesn’t say everyone receives this right. It says people who love God receive this right. That means if you do not love God, you are open season for the enemy to attack and for it not to go good for you... ever. That’s not Gods fault, that’s your fault. Instead of truth, more and more people today are veering towards “positivity” and the belief that if you are good enough, positive enough, attract the right energies, etc. you can magically manifest and control God to give you something like a puppet. Therefore man becomes his own god and God becomes his servant. No wonder we are struggling with so many pride issues in society. God works things for the good of those who LOVE HIM. I have so many stories of times when seemingly terrible things happened that eventually proved to be training grounds for weeks, months, and even years in the future. Maybe I’ll share some sometime. But I promise you, if you start to love God, you will receive an entirely new perspective on life. Nothing is accidental, nothing is chance. You have a calling, stop waiting for inspiration to hit you, and start seeking it out! Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙
