A deserted, straight road stretches out across a desolate, arid landscape under a striking orange and red sunset sky. The road leads towards majestic, towering rock formations in the distance, their silhouettes standing tall against the vivid horizon. A lone person, appearing tiny in the vast expanse, is walking on the road, their back turned towards the viewer. The scene exudes a sense of solitude, adventure, and the allure of the open road amidst the rugged, desert terrain.

The Discipline of Focus Amidst Abundant Inspiration

I was having a conversation the other day about this and it got me thinking... - I think the least focused people often aren't those that are uninspired. If you're anything like me, you get inspiration all the time. I have random ideas for photos, businesses, projects, etc, on a regular basis. Rather, I think the root of the lack of focus is not that we are uninspired, but that we sometimes have too much inspiration. - One of my personal biggest strengths and also weaknesses is the ability to change focus on a dime. I'm a very go-with-the flow person and if something isn't working, I can very easily switch it up... but that's also sometimes the biggest problem. - If new inspiration makes you change your course every other week, question or reconsider your life then it's impossible to make any kind of progress. Full transparency, that reality kills me because I genuinely want to do everything. - Unfortunately that's not possible. Therefore real true focus is not a matter of inspiration but a matter of discipline. How easily can you let your ideas be just that so that you can focus your energy on EXACTLY what you should be doing? - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - • • • • • •
