Pursuing Your Deepest Desires

Your strongest desire is often not your deepest desire. - There’s a difference. Let’s take me for example. One of my deepest desires and goals is to be in shape and healthy, however one of my strongest desires is also to indulge in a good pizza. They kinda clash haha. - Your deepest desire is the yearning of your soul. It’s what keeps you up at night, but oftentimes we give in to our strongest desires, things we convince ourselves we need in the spur of the moment, and put our deepest desire on hold. - I think universally the biggest human desire is to feel love. And I’m not just talking about the romantic kind although that is true for most people; I’m talking about the ability to have meaningful caring relationships with people. So although that’s the deepest desire, we often give into strong desires to be noticed so we do crazy things to get attention and they could very easily backfire on our one true desire in life. - Do not give into strong desires and compromise on your deepest ones. Temptation is a real thing but it doesn’t mean you have to fall for it.
